PPC Help for Beginners

There are many advantages of promoting your business through PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising but there are also some catches that PPC newbies should look out for.

All beginners want to know how PPC works? For PPC, first you have to set up an account with Google or Yahoo. Once you have the account, then start building up their campaigns, AdGroups, Ads, keywords, and so on. The account managers at Google and Yahoo then will look after the accounts and make sure everything works (no violations of guidelines, ads are showing up, etc).

Maximum beginners think that their work is complete but they are wrong. The reality is, many times the teams at Yahoo and Google get so overwhelmed by their work and they lost tracks of what have been done and what hasn’t, resulting in a lot of updates being not approved (because no one had reviewed them).

This is the one of the main problem with Google. In Yahoo, if the newly submitted updates are still under review, you can check your status pending. After 10 days, you still find your status pending, you know someone has forgotten to do their job. In this case, you send an email to your account manager at Yahoo to ask what the problem is and the problem should be sorted out in a day or two.

Google is something different. Once you have submitted an update in Google, at the same time you status being active, same as all the existing ads, keywords, ad groups you have. So if after ten days and you are still getting no impressions from the new update, and you intuitively check to see if the update is running correctly or not. If not o one has searched for it yes.

So, always monitor your account frequently and if you sense something weird, send an email to your account manager. Don’t be shy to send multiple emails in a day if that’s what it takes to get things fixed.

- Blogs usually contain content relating to the present state and also stuff that is fresh and good to be read, apart from the stale information that has been repeated by every other site. Try to write informative stuff in your blogs because this will create more traffic in your site.
